Writing Week One

topic: little things you take for granted

So I read Lindsay’s [music], and Erika’s [books], and I agree with both of theirs. Mine is going to go in a different direction. It isn’t as…deep as theirs, but it’s tangible. It’s simple, and it’s necessary for life.

How many other people around the world [and in the United States] don’t have clean drinking water? Clean water is a major issue in so many countries around the world!! I don’t know about you, but I don’t think about drinking purified water. I can just go right over to the sink and get a glass of water without having to worry about contracting a disease or whatever.

So there you go; next time you get water from your sink or your fridge, say a little prayer for the child who is drinking dirty, diseased water because it’s the only thing she can get.
