WOW!

New posts two days in a row! A shocker, I know (not that anyone else reads this…lol). Anywho, new story ideas:

1.
She stood alone in the hallway, her arms limp at her sides, and stared at his retreating back, his strong shoulders reminding her of just what she had lost.

And suddenly, the hurt morphed into anger. She always lost; she was the one always left alone. Her longing gaze became a glare.

If she was supposed to just forget about him, then there was no way she’d ever allow him to remember her. If he had no memory of what had happened between them, she would be spared so much embarrassment.
As he turned the corner, her wish to turn back time so they could still be together turned into a wish to speed through the present so he would never, ever remember.

Her head started to pound angrily, and she made her way outside to the parking lot, slipping into her silver car and speeding home.

 ooOoo

I’m sure the grimace on my face made my features look spectacular, but I couldn’t help but glare at the college application.

I’ve always hated those quizzes where people ask you to list words others would use to describe you. Or they want those “Top 5” adjectives you’d offer in an attempt to paint a picture of yourself. All that dumb crap. Honestly, I have always had no idea what to say. If I wrote fabulous words, I’d sound conceited. If I wrote non-fabulous words, people would begin to fear for my self-esteem. And how would I know what others would say about me, especially when I couldn’t come up with a list myself?

Even a list wasn’t enough anymore; now they wanted essays.

I scowled at the paper in front of me, and desperately tried to create a list of words describing myself. I knew the college essay was supposed to make me examine myself and somehow put the ‘real me’ into defined black ink, but the only adjective I could think of prevented me from scribbling down anything else.

Guarded.

 ooOoo

Personally, I like the first one better, I think. The second one is older than the first. Of course, I haven’t exactly finished Unsaid yet, so I really shouldn’t be trying to start another story. But I’ve got so many ideas.

I read over the UK Short Answers I sent out last night this morning; they were horribly cheesy. One of my friends actually laughed out loud at them. Hopefully they just look at my test scores and grades and don’t read into the essays too much. Agh. I’ve still got so much more stuff to do for college, too. It never ends!! Let’s see…a scholarship essay for Vandy, a scholarship essay for UK, and 3 essays for UK’s honor program. (I can’t believe they want 3 essays. I mean, geez.)

Finals are in a week and a half; I’m required to take three already (AP Psych, AP Calc, and Honors Government), and if my grades stay the same (which they should), I won’t have to take any more than that. So that’s nice. There’s a Christmas band concert on Monday, which I’m not too excited about , (I have solos. I hate solos.) and a double-header pep band game for basketball on Tuesday. My sister comes back from college on Friday, and my friend is also having a party that night.

This weekend is nuts too; I’ve got to read and outline a Psych chapter, make a study guide for a Gov’t test on monday, do extra credit for AP calc, make a guide for a mythology test (I have no idea when it is…sometime next week), make index cards for a Calc test on tuesdaywednesday, not to mention normal homework. (I think I just have some calculus left to do there, so that’s good.) I’m not going to get all that done, but I guess it’s good to try, right?

Plus, my parents are going to look a some puppies on Sunday, and I really want to go with them. I love puppies, but I think it’s a long drive, so I don’t know if I’ll be able to go.

Basically, I cannot wait for Christmas break. Man, this post is HUGE. Sorry to bore you with my boring life.
